Sona Makes History with Record-Breaking Chandra Namaskara Event! ♀️
Thrilled to announce that Sona Medical College of Naturopathy and Yoga (SMCNY) has achieved a remarkable feat! On June 20th, 2024, a full moon day coinciding with International Yoga Day, SMCNY hosted the largest ever gathering for Chandra Namaskara (Moon Salutation) at a single venue!
A whopping 2750 participants joined hands and performed Chandra Namaskara in unison at the Sona Sports Ground in Salem, Tamil Nadu, India. This event wasn’t just about breaking records, it was a powerful display of yoga’s potential for collective well-being and a celebration of ancient traditions. The record is officially recognized by the World Records Union, and Mr. Thyagu Valliappa, Managing Trustee, SMCNY, proudly received a world record certificate from their officials!
