Naturopathy day celebration 2021

National Naturopathy day is celebrated every year on the 18th of November to promote complete health through Naturopathy. This day was declared by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India on 18th November 2018.
It is because on this day in 1945, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, known as Mahatma Gandhi, became the lifetime chairman of the All India Nature Cure Foundation trust and signed the deed with the object of making Naturopathy available to all people. Mahatma Gandhi is called the Father of Indian Naturopathy.
The Theme of the 4th National Naturopathy day is “Rog Mukt Bharat – Disease-free India”.
On this important day in health care, Sona Medical College of Naturopathy and Yoga celebrated the 4th National Naturopathy day with various competitions and programs. Mr.Thyagu Valliappa, Managing Trustee of Sona Medical College of Naturopathy and Yoga, and the Principals of Sona Group of Institutions addressed the gathering. Students actively engaged the audience with the cultural program. There was an elocution competition conducted for the BNYS students and an Online competition for all the age groups of people.
Elocution competition was conducted on the topic “My Favourite Naturopath” in History. The Speaker Forum club of Sona Medical College of Naturopathy and Yoga motivated and guided all the students to actively participate in the competition. The competition was conducted with the aim to increase the student interest in learning the history of Naturopathy. The winners of the competition are:

The Nature’s Club of Sona Medical College of Naturopathy and Yoga conducted an Online competition on the topic “Top 10 Made in India Natural Remedies @ Emergency conditions”. This was an open competition to all the students and people regardless of their age and education. Participation was observed from all over India and there were about 400 entries. The
winners were selected on the basis of the easy availability and application of the remedies, ease of use by common people, and clarity in presentation. The judges were the senior, eminent persons from different fields from various colleges. The winners of the online competition are:

SECOND PRIZE: Mrs. V. ANBARASI
